Blue Prism for Good - in India

Back in 2019, Blue Prism For Good was awarded GBP 5000 to direct towards a philanthropic cause and India was chosen as the recipient. After overcoming some difficulties (COVID-19 included), all the efforts come now to reality through My Little Bit and the sponsorship of 9 young women.

How did it all start?

We need to go back to 2019, when @Matt Juden-Bloomfield , Global lead for the Blue Prism for Good (BPFG) program, received an award of £5,000 GBP to direct towards any philanthropic cause of his choice. Matt wanted to funnel this award towards India to allow for maximum impact.

In the search for an appropriate organization to support, they connected with an organization called MY LITTLE BIT. They are dedicated towards the support and development of underprivileged with an emphasis on young women. Having started back in 2010 with an engagement in a Govt School by the sides of the Kaikondrahalli Lake in Bangalore, they've now funded for than 40 girls for 12th grade and helped more than 2,500 students with digital literacy skills. My Little Bit enables various programs ranging from Digital Literacy , Girls in the Workforce & College Scholarship to ensure that the children are empowered towards a successful life and career.

How are BPFG helping My Little Bit?

We are grateful and very pleased to announce that all conversations and joint efforts have now come to a successful outcome. BPFG is now supporting My Little Bit with a combined sponsorship of INR 443,000 thanks to Matt’s award and a personal sponsorship of INR 40K from Blue Prism's @Peter Gartenberg .

We will be supporting My Little Bit as follows:

  • 3-Year Graduation scholarship of approx. 9 young women
  • 10 new desktops to enable Digital Literacy for the colleges these students will attend

Thanks to the incredible @Peter Gartenberg, @Matt Juden-Bloomfield, @Rukayat Johnson and @Sreeja Achuthan for making this possible and changing the lives of 9 young women in India as a Blue Prism For Good initiative.

We will be sharing with you further details shortly as the sponsorship develops, so make sure to stay tuned so you don't miss anything!
