@Carlota Ortiz shares why she was 'thrilled' to become a future skills ambassador for Blue Prism for Good.

Blue Prism For Good pushes the boundaries of what can be achieved. I am proud to be part of a group that pushes to deliver exceptional work not only for the business but also for those who are in need. BPFG has multiple initiatives encompassing, diversity and inclusion, fundraising, supporting non-profits and encouraging education and future skills.  Having worked with an educational charity before I have seen first had the knock-on effect that it can have on society.

At ReachOut I provided young children weekly one-to-one support and mentorship. During this one year program we help them to develop their character, raise aspirations and improve their academic attainment through long-term one-to-one mentoring to help them achieve their potential. As a result, I’m aware that education builds confidence, provides knowledge, and removes barriers to opportunity. It has a positive impact on everyone’s life but for children, specifically it opens the door to a better life. Thus, when I had the chance to become a Future Skills ambassador and get involved, I was thrilled.

Being a Future Skills ambassador for Blue Prism has enabled me to get involve in very interesting initiatives and I fondly anticipate EY’s virtual Smart Futures program in a few weeks, for which we will be hosting 10 students. The Smart Futures program gives  disadvantaged 16-17 year olds skills and work experience to make them more employable and achiever their career ambitions.

Overall, I’m looking forward to seeing BPFG’s projects come to live and continue to support Future Skills initiatives.
