Decipher

We have a multi environment setup for Decipher. One environment is setup to be full data/class verification and the other is skipping data/class verification.

When I export the Batch/Doc Type/DFD, Capture Data, and Training data and import them into the new environment I lose accuracy and need to retrain. My assumption was that it would act the same after I imported. Am I missing something when importing into the new environment? Any idea why I need to retrain?

Hi Ben,

If you've exported/imported your training data and the respective capture model, the new environment should behave in exactly the same way. Was there existing training data in the new environment? Does your capture model have a "last trained" date in the original environment?

Hi Ben, 

Since it was a brand new env it had no trained data but just to be sure I deleted the trained data before importing. The capture did have a last trained date. The model was very inaccurate after importing but I retrained it after about 100 invoices and it started behaving more accurate again. Not sure why it needed the 100 invoice training though.

Hi Ben,

That is quite strange, I wouldn't expect you to have to retrain the model.

If it happens again or you experience an unexpected change in performance, please raise a support ticket so that we can investigate.
