Hi Mitsuko!
Yes you are absolutely correct.
The name of the current
'Japan User Group' forum overlaps with the new Local User Group program which may cause some confusion. As a result we are going to rename it '
Japan Community'. This will then align with the rest of the site and industry best practice.
This change will be announced on the forum shortly.
Best regards,
Norah

Subject: NEW: Local User Groups - Looking for Leads 🌍🌎🌏
Hello,
Thank you for the announcement.
Please let me know if my understanding of the new "Local User Group" is correct.
I join Japan User Group.
Local User Group is different from the Japan User Group in the following ways:
- The main purpose of Japan User Groups is to discuss/ask technical questions.
- The new Local User Group is for organizing online or offline meetings for users in the area.

Hello Community and happy new year all! 🎆
We have some exciting news to share with you, we are getting ready to launch a new Local User Group program on the Blue Prism Community and we are now starting the search for Local User Group Leads.
This program is intended to enable our users (both our customers and partners) to host Blue Prism events and share insights with other users in their local area. It will provide an event structure enabling you to set up and lead your own events with our support.
More information on the program can be found below and on the new Local User Group landing page.
What is the Local User Group Program?
- Provides a platform, and mechanism, for Blue Prism users (customers and partners) to network with peers and share knowledge
- A Local User Group lead will organise and run 3-4 events per year in their local area. There will be support provided by the Blue Prism Community Team (including best practices, recommended agenda/topics)
How does a User Group differ from a Community?
- You can join a Community and/or a Local User Group on this site
- Communities are usually focused around a product, industry or special topic (e.g. Decipher Community). Online Communities include discussion boards and are managed by Blue Prism employees
- Local User Groups are focused on location (e.g. London User Group) to enable local events and are led by Blue Prism customers or partners
If you are interested in becoming a Blue Prism User Group Lead for your local area, please complete this form.
If you have any questions please comment below :)
Thank you,
Norah
