More than one Key value column in Inbox view and case handling prompt for user

  • 1.  More than one Key value column in Inbox view and case handling prompt for user

    Hi,

    i have two question:

    • is there a way to add more columns to an Inbox view? At the moment values are:  ID, Form name, Category, Key value, Submission time, Actions. I need to have 3 or more key values or under Inbox subfolders(Outlook style view) based on some variable name.

    •  Lets say that I have in Inbox e.g 300+ cases and team with 40 users. How the user/s know that somebody already dealing with the specific case? Prompt the user that "this case is locked by user XXXX" or something else.

    Interact version. 4.1.17

    Br,
    Kaspar

    Hi, Kaspar,

you are not planning to give each of them a separate login? If they have separate login they see only their own cases in Inbox.

    Regards,

    Zdenek

Yes, each user will log in with own credentials, but we need to have same Inbox for the whole team. I don't know is this possible??

Example: Team_1 will fill in the form and trigger the robot which collect data to the second page(same form). Team_2 pick it up, validate the data and add more data to the form. After submitting robot will finish the case. Team_2 should see list/queue of cases what Team_1 has triggered at the first stage.

    Hi, Kaspar,

as far as I know it is not possible in this version. However, in the roadmap (November 2021) they write about a feature of organizing members into the teams - https://portal.blueprism.com/product/product-portfolio-roadmap. That could provide what you are looking for.

    Hi, Kaspar,

    one more note to add.

If you exchange in your requirement "Team_1" for "User_1" then it is possible but you have to think at a user level not teams as Interact does not understand the entity Teams.

    Zdenek

    Thank You Zdeněk,

hopefully BP will implement the Teams feature soon :)

I would like to see more n x "key values" also in Inbox view., otherwise is it useless for the queue handling.

    Kaspar

    Hi, Kaspar,

well, raise it in Ideation Portal and it may get into the roadmap. I would vote for it. Would it work if you put there a combination of values in one Key which is currently supported? Let's say you have key field and in the field you can enter user1, user3, user 4. Then you could filter based on the multiple values having only one key column.

I know that it is not the best solution (rather it is quite bad) but the only available which I can think of right now.

    Regards,

    Zdenek

Yes, this is the only way how to resolve it for now.
