Can I have two instances of BP installed on my machine?

Hi, I will be running an internal BP Bootcamp and want the students to use the BP Learning Edition. I want to download it - to make sure I am prepared for what the students will be experiencing. But I have my own production BP (6.10.4) installed already. Can I install Learning Edition BP 7.1 as well? Or can you only have one instance per machine at a time?

Hello Stephanie,

Below is from one of our articles:

Blue Prism Enterprise (BPE) does NOT support running two or more different versions of BPE on the same machine or environment, even if you're connecting to different databases.

However, you can run two or more instances of the same BPE version on the same machine or environment using different databases on different ports.

So if you would like to be on the same version of BP as your Students you would need to upgrade to 7.1 yourself. The only difference would be the license that allows or restricts add ons like decipher or how many concurrent sessions you can have running.
