Here is a new version after a user reported that Scheduler user would not fire off the pending session. Change the settings from "[Scheduler]" to "[All]". Attached is the new version, however, only the instructions is updated to reflect the above.

Hi Akanksha,
This works through code stage calling BluePrism Libraries directly, hence no SQL permissions required. The app connection's permission is already configured and the execution of is controlled by VBO execution access.

We have this issue affected for multiple resources. so how can we implement this. Do we need to schedule this process in a VM so that it will sort out the pending process in certain DB and run it all a once. looking forward for the update.

Hello,
We have big troubles with pennding sessions and the VBO above works not correctly. When I run the proces in debug mode from the process studio (under my Admin account) it will fire(run) the stuck pending session properly (no matter if I set user as [Scheduler] or [All]), but when I run the process from the control room under robotic account on resource, it will not do anythink. When I set User as [Scheduler] it will go to error (

ERROR: Internal : Could not execute code stage because exception thrown by code stage: Failed to start sessions: 7d0afd04-2a92-4233-9122-d287f7146f52

) and with User set as [All] it will looks like processed OK, but nothing really happens and session stay in pending.

We have version 6.4.0 and I use "Old version" of VBO script.

It looks like, there must be some SQL permissions requirement, which my account has and the robotics have not? Or there is another reason of this?

thanks for reply.

I probably find my own mistake after reading new version of user guide v3.1. Definition of variable "User" if value "[Scheduler]" not working should be value "All" not "[All]".
Now, after 24h, no pending session stucked in CC. Hope that means, the problem is solved.

Hi Jeswin,
It will check the RR in a collection you tell it and if there is a pending schedule created by Scheduler, it will start it.
This is also a process, so you need to have Pending Session Starter scheduled as well.

Hi David,

i have another query regarding the pending process. we are planning to implement this in 3 different platforms and all are running on 6.4.3 BP version. so is it possible to have this process deployed in one resource on any one platform and can it get the pending session from the other two platforms as well. is that possibility since it is connecting directly to the SQL server.

Hi,
In section 7.1 of the users guide will explain how to make it work with newer versions.
Please change the 'Using Older Version?" data item to False.
