Setting up delegated authentication from Blueprism for Microsoft Azure AD to access MS Graph APIs

Hello BP Support Team

We are trying to setup a delegated authentication from Blueprism for Microsoft Azure AD to access MS Graph APIs based on the documentation provided by BluePrism support team (pls refer the attached document here) but still the setup of delegated authentication in Blueprism is not working. Therefore, we would need your teams support for this integration. The purpose of this delegated authentication setup in Blueprism is to post chat messages in MS Teams through MS Graph API.

We can arrange for a troubleshooting session with your nominated SME to walk them through what we are doing then collaborate to get through to a solution.

Have already opened a Ticket #260282 which you can refer.

Hi Girish,

If you can provide more details with screenshots of your Azure/BluePrism configuration and any error messages that you get, that will be helpful for the community to provide any suggestions to debug.

You can refer this site https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/chatmessage-post?view=graph-rest-1.0&tabs=http#permissions on what permissions you would need to post a chat message.

There is also a VBO provided along with the asset shows how you can send message via the API.

Hello Shashank

Describing what we have done uptill now , so that you can let us know if we are missing something.

We've tested Read functionality using assets (Microsoft Graph – Authentication & Microsoft Graph - Teams) from Blue Prism Digital Exchange Portal.

A functionality of Reading Chat Messages worked.

However, A functionality of Sending Chat Message did not (even using Application access).

Found an article in Blue Prism Community that led to a conclusion of choosing Delegated access. <Error When using Send Chat Message action of Microsoft Graph Teams API | Digital Exchange (blueprism.com)>.

Downloaded one more asset (MSAL.NET).

Used assets for this as follows:

Microsoft Graph – Authentication > Get Delegated Access Token
MSAL.NET > Get Auth Token - Username and Password

With both the attempts, received a common error (as depicted in the screenshot:)
