Symphony Excel - Open XML Asset

I am currently evaluating the Symphony Excel – Open XML Asset (Card 53224) from the Blue Prism Digital Exchange (BluePrism Digital Exchange ) and noticed the following discrepancies:

Asset provided in .xml format:
The package is still supplied as a .xml release. I understand this asset was originally published in June 2020, when .xml was the standard export format. It imports successfully in Blue Prismv7.3.1, but the asset ideally should be updated to the modern .bprelease or .bpobject format for consistency and maintainability.
Deprecated NuGet package version:
The user guide references DocumentFormat.OpenXml v4.5.3.3, which is now deprecated. I am exploring the possibility of using v8.4.2, but need confirmation on which version of the OpenXML library is officially compatible with this asset.

@GeoffHirst @ewilson Could you please confirm the recommended/compatible version of the OpenXML package for this asset?

This is not a Blue Prism supported asset. We can pass along your feedback to the submitter, but it’s up to them to move forward with it.

Hello @ewilson – I understand.

also, When I used the deprecated EPPlus v4.5.3.3, the asset worked fine for me.
However, when I tried the same implementation with latest EPPlus v8.4.2, it did not work.

I’m okay for now since the other asset (Card - 132937) is working.

@Neel1 I went down a bit of rabbit hole on this one. Symphony, and its parent SYKES, no longer exist. As a result, we're going to archive that asset.

Okay @ewilson

I understand that this asset will be archived. That said, there are a few actions available in this asset that are not present in the other asset (Card‑132937).

Would it be possible for the DX team to consider adding those delta actions to Card‑132937? This would help enhance the functionality of the other asset as well.
