I believe you could provide a feedback to your dev team about this. This kind of info should be in About window. As I mentioned, there is CPU Architecture field and it shows 32bit in my case but I have no idea what it is related to. My PC is 64bit, OS is 64bit and BP I expected as 64bit as well.
It is 5.0.30.0. Maybe you can check this in you environments as well.

MAPIEx installation - question

Hi,

I just tried to install MAPIEx according to the guide and I am somehow confused.
In 2.1 you write:
"Note: The MAPIEx files must reside in the same directory as the Blue Prism program files (typically C:\Program Files\Blue Prism Limited\Blue Prism Automate). If they are installed to different directories, the MAPIEx functionality will not work when attempting to access an Exchange server from within a business process. As such, the DLL files in the MAPIEx installation directory should be copied to the Blue Prism installation directory before use on a particular resource. Once copied, any resources on that machine will have to be reloaded to pick up the new DLLs."

In 2.2.2.1 you write:
"If you install the 32-bit version of Blue Prism into a 64-bit installation of Windows, the installation directory"

I have 32bit BP and 64bit OS. When I run MAPIEx installer it suggests to be installed in Program Files (x86). However my BP is installed in Program Files (it was suggested by the setup). So should I use Program Files (where BP is installed) or Program Files (x86) as suggested by the MAPIEx installer?
At first I tried to install MAPIEx in the same folder as BP which is Program Files but the installer ignores the provided path and installs in Program Files (x86) anyway.
Shall I install the MAPIEx and the move all files from Program Files (x86) to Program Files?

Regards,
Tomek A.

BP 32bit should be installed

BP 32bit should be installed in the x86 folder - I'd try reinstalling BP. Note also that the accompanying Mapiex VBO anticipates a 32bit OS but the configuration can easily be tweaked for 64bit OS (see Mapiex documentation). Note also that Mapiex only supports 32bit Outlook.

Hi John,

Hi John,
Thank you for the reply.
I just double checked some things and my installer was x64. I wrote I had 32bit BP based on ""about"" where I saw CPU architecture which shows 32bit. This is why I was confused and decided to write the post.
Can you tell me how to check which BP version is installed (based on something else than installation path)?
Regards,

Good question, I don't know

Good question, I don't know to be honest. To be sure I'd uninstall and then reinstall - 32bit in Program Files (x86) or 64bit in Program Files.
