Dear all,

I have a computer with Open Office. My Company prefers to work with open source programs. Trying to do the Consolidation Exercise I get the error "Internal : Could not execute code stage because exception thrown by code stage: Cannot create ActiveX component." when I try to create an instance of Excel.

Is it just because Excel is not installed or is it because something else?

Thank you in advance for your kind replies.

You cannot use the Excel VBO on Open Office, they are different applications. The Foundation Training course only supports Excel. I recommend you contact your delivery/training partner to discuss training alternatives if you do not have access to Excel. If you are from a BP partner, then please contact your BP account manager.
