Environment Variable Usage as Global Scope

Hi All, Why a env variable declared with Global scope is not retaining its scope even after save. Any suggestions??

This is an annoying bug that is on our list. The workaround is to add a data item, open the properties, set to global, press OK. Then open the properties again, set to environment, press OK. Then the global setting will 'stick'.
