Dear Jack

Thank you for the response.

In this case, all the test was done with Browser Mode.
And, also the spying was applied to the same elements for the fair comparison among differnet browsers.

It would be a help if anyone can share any similar experiences, i.e., the browser mode spying gets slowing in a particular browser such as Chrome. for any reason.

Dear Community

One of our customer is experiencing the slowness of spying for the Chrome,
while the same test was fine for Edge and IE.

- IE : normal speed
- Edge : normal speed
- Chrome : take 2.5 seconds for spying

The BP version is 6.9 and it was tested from the same PC.

Why is it that the spying speed is relatively so slow in Chrome in particular?
Is there any check point to troubleshoot this?

Best regards

------------------------------
HongJoo Choi
------------------------------

Hi HongJoo.

Are you having this issue with all element types? I know that when working with UIA mode, if you don't use the "force render" flag it really slows things down.

Append the start page URL with the --force-renderer-accessibility parameter to open the browsers in accessibility mode. When launched using this parameter, the UIA spy mode can be used to model and interact with Chrome and Edge browsers.

jack

------------------------------
Jack Look
Sr Product Consultant
Blue Prism
------------------------------
Hi HJ,

Time seems relative I guess. I find a spying time of only 2.5 seconds in Chrome absolutely fast.

As for IE, that should no longer be in use as it is discontinued by Microsoft (...and for good reasons...). On Edge being fast, I wonder if you are running in the IE mode or natively? In Edge IE mode I would expect times similar to what IE used to offer, but Edge native should be closer to Chrome.

------------------------------
Happy coding!
Paul
Sweden
------------------------------
