Scheduler setup in BP

I have two bot. Each day i receive only 1 case, so only one bot can execute the case. I want to do a scheduler setup in a way that both the bots should run may be weekly thrice or alternate days. How to achieve using BP scheduler settings? Is it possible?

While creating the schedule for your process it has an option under Run daily --> Every __ day(s). So if you give 2 in Every day(s) your process will run with a gap of 2 days.

Thanks Sai for the response.
But i would also want the schedule to run every 2 hours. I can either select it as every 2 day or every 2 hour & not both. Is there any way to select both?

When you say every 2 hours, is it like the process will run every 2 hr on whole 3rd day only? Then the 4th and 5th days will be skipped and again run on the 6th day entirely with a gap of 2 hrs?

Is this the right understanding?

Create a calendar and select only 2 or 3 days under the working week. And create a schedule for your process under Runs select Hourly/Minutely, under Runs hourly/minutely --> Every __ hour(s). So if you give 2 in Every hour (s), check the check box Only on days in the calendar and select the calendar you created.

then your process will run every week on that particular 2 or 3 days for every 2 hours.

This should work in your case.

I am already using a different calender for my process. Can i use 2 calenders at the same time for 1 scheduler?

We can not use two calendars for the same scheduler at this moment.

Hi Teja,

My requirement is
Day 1 - bot 1 - every 2 hr from (10:30 - 16:30) [if bot 1 fails, task will be there to start bot 2]
Day 2 - bot 2 - every 2 hour between (10:30 - 16:30) [if bot 2 fails, task will be there to start bot 1]
Day 3 - bot 1
Day 4 - bot 2
Like this i will make sure my both the bots are getting chance to run & application access don't expires boz of idealness.

Hi,

I havent tried this yet but maybe it will work:

1.- Create 2 calendars,
- one with all working days,
- the other one with every other day. (Mon, Wen, Fri)

2.- Create 2 schedulers:

- first one with starting bot 1, backup bot 2 ... starting at 10:30 ... every 2 hrs... with calendar 1
- second one with starting bot2, backup bot 1.... starting at 10:29 .. every 2 hours.... with calendar 2

What should happen is that every other day... the second scheduler will TAKEOVER the resource and the first scheduler will fail.
