Run Automate.exe as 64-bit version

Hi, I have installed Blue Prism app V6.10.5 as X64 version on 64-bit OS but after installation whenever I run Automate it starts process as 32-bit.

I have a requirement to load and execute code of third party dll which runs only on 64-bit CPU Architecture.

Is there any way run Automate.exe as 64bit CPU Architecture?

Any help would be appreciated!

Blue Prism has no true native 64 bit version (I think it has been on the roadmap for years but never got high in customer votes).

The 64 bit version simply includes additional dlls that enable Blue Prism to function correctly in 64 bit environments (such as interface with 64 bit applications).

The main calls for a 64 bit version have been due to issues related to memory which can usually be worked around through redesign. I suspect plan to create a 64bit version have been modified in the light of a cloud first and better componentisation ambition and will now be part of those plans.

I can understand complexity why it was not given support for 64-bit version.

Hi Manish,

Even though we install 64 bit , in the task manager it shows as Automate(32 bit) only. Everything runs as expected

FYI - A true 64-bit Blue Prism Enterprise is supposed to be delivered as part of the v7.2 release slated for Q1 2023.

The Blue Prism App Server service runs as a 64-bit application, but the Automate.exe process (which is the core of your runtime resources) runs as a 32-bit application.
