MS Excel close program window pop up

Hi,

I am running excel process in control room suddenly one pop up arises stating close excel program because of this my process is getting terminated or else it will wait until to click close button then it terminates
Could you please help me on this why this excel pop up arises.

Hi S,

What does the popup say?

If it is the one where XL is warning to save a changed file then you have to ask yourself if the process did indeed change the XL or that someone/something else did.

As for XL closing, this could be the process or something else. Does you process have the possibility to close the XL before being finished with it? Does the close happen every time you run the process?

Stepping (aka debugging) your process should bring clarity as to what is going on.

Hi
Please find the attached image of excel pop up which is arising,
close excel will happen every time when I run the process,
In debug mode I'm not facing any issues of this popup , only while running in control room

Hi Soumya,

This strikes me as not being a BP or process problem, but XL crashing for some reason. That said, does this always happen at the same process/object stage? What does the log from the Control Room run say?

Hi Paul,

This happens irrespective of object stages; it can occur in any of the Excel VBO actions performed.
The logs sometimes it comes as RPC error or code stage error

As Paul also mentioned it doesn't seem like a BP process related issue.

Are you running in debug mode and control room on the same machine? Have you tried running your process in another VM?

Also you may check if any Excel Add In is causing the Excel to crash?
