topic NTID Ownership & BP Controller Role in Product Forum

Hello,

I wanted to throw this out to the community and see how your organizations handle it. Who typically owns/manages the credentials for the NTID for the IDs running the automations? Right now our controller has all of the NTID usernames and passwords, however it seems like that could eventually be an internal control problem as more processes are added and the roles of these IDs are expanded. How have your organizations managed to mitigate the control risk while not crippling the controllers ability to troubleshoot processes when they fail.

Thanks!

I would expect all credientals to be securely stored and managed within the Blue Prism credential store rather than held by a process controller.
Using login agent the robots can log themselves into vdis and also you can created password change processes so that the robots can generate and change their own passwords.
