Hi Samuel,

It's possible that you have installed the 64 bit version, but some of Blue Prism's core process run as 32 bit. Here's a support article that covers this in a more detail.

http://portal.blueprism.com/customer-support/support-center#/path/1136083482

All our releases are available as 32 bit and 64 bit via the Portal.
Current Version of Blue Prism
Previous Versions of Blue Prism

Thanks

------------------------------
Ben Lyons
Product Consultant
Blue Prism
UK
------------------------------
Hello BP Experts,

I have been encountering System out of Memory exception while running processes from the control room. This usually occurs when writing to Excel with Excel VBO or reading large dataset to collection. though i worked around it by building a job that right to excel.

But i noticed that the Blue Prism installation in my organisation is 32 bit running on a 64bit machine, so my question is:
Is there a 64 bit version of Blue Prism, if yes how can i get it.

I look forward to response from the community.

Thank you.

------------------------------
Samuel Ezeala
Software Engineer | RPA Developer
eProcess, Ecobank Group
Lagos, Nigeria
------------------------------

Hello, Samuel,

short answer - Blue Prism is 32 bit! Regardless of the installer it is running as 32 bit application therefore when reading many rows from excel into collection you are hitting the limit. When I say many rows I ran around 50.000 it worked as it also depends on the number of columns. If you can avoid loading the whole worksheet in the collection and rather loading just some filter subset that could help you. Or the best approach would be to use ODBC access to your excel. That supports both writing and reading.
