Hello,

I don't know much about Decipher so I don't know if I can help you, but have you tried reading it in grayscale?

------------------------------
Mitsuko
Asia/Tokyo
------------------------------
Hi Krishna,

There's not currently a facility within Decipher to convert images to greyscale, you will need to look into 3rd party options at this time. To test you could use your usual image editing tool to convert it manually.

This is a challenge from the Tesseract OCR engine not being as consistent with text on coloured backgrounds. We are working on a remedy for future versions.

Thanks

------------------------------
Ben Lyons
Product Consultant - Decipher Specialist
Blue Prism
UK
------------------------------
Hi Krishna,

As mentioned, the Tesseract OCR engine will have difficulty with coloured regions. As per Mitsuko's suggestion, I would recommend trying to convert the image to greyscale and trying again.

The OCR engine used during data verification is different to the one used during the original OCR stage, so you may get different results.

Thanks

------------------------------
Ben Lyons
Product Consultant - Decipher Specialist
Blue Prism
UK
------------------------------
