topic Not able to spy Java buttons in Product Forum

We have a java app that have buttons that BP cannot spy, the rest of the application is fine. We have been told that these buttons inherit from jcomponent and are not the standard buttons. Is there anyway to spy these buttons that is not surface recognition?

Many thanks

If the Java Access Bridge

If the Java Access Bridge (JAB) interface can interface with the rest of the application as you say, but not these buttons, that would indicate a deficiency in the JAB interface rather than with the Blue Prism product (which effectively is simply wrapping and using the JAB functionality). If JAB cannot interface with an element the only other option available to you is Surface Automation techniques.
