Chrome to Edge on BP 7 Version

Hello Guys,

I am looking for solution to below problem.

We have objects built on Chrome . It is web based application. BP version -7.0.0. Need to convert/built the same objects to EDGE now as Target application recommended browser is EDGE.

What are the different approach can i take which can help in easy migration?

Shall i use Application Modeler conversion Tool for this OR simply save the copy of objects and change the path of Chrome exe to Edge exe in Application Modeler( Will all spied item work like before)?

I will start/test with 2nd option in coming days. Need to know any best practice or other methods on this ask.

Hello @Neeraj Kumar,

In coming months or so IE will also decommission soon so lots of project will move to EDGE in every org I guess.

As per my views, 2nd option is but obvious option if any one had to start with from scratch all things. But I would suggest to use Application Modeler conversion tool which will fine tune the elements into new browser which we want to use in our project. Just we need double check after conversion and if needed fine tune it there itself.

Objects is built on chrome not IE. I am looking for solution to easy migrate - code from Chrome to EDGE.

Hi Neera,

There is no need to respy again just change the browser path to Edge it will work. But there may be some problem in different events like Click write that you may have tweak little bit during testing other wise no need of spying again.
