Hi Mayank,

I wonder if this Chrome option might help on your "fresh session" request. Within Chrome, there is a setting to clear cookies and cache on exit. It might vary slightly depending on your version (I'm on 85.0.4183.102 ), but here's the steps for me. I believe this is a one time setting:
1. open Chrome and click the three dots to open the menu
2. select settings
3. on the left, select Privacy and Security
4. Scroll a bit and select the arrow next to "cookies and other site data"
5. Select to enable "Clear cookies and site data when you quit Chrome"

Alternatively, I know people that use a plug in for Chrome called "click and clean" which further has options to clear all cache, history, etc. on browser close. I don't know if this is a viable option in your environment but it does work for what you're looking to do.

I hope this helps.

------------------------------
Diane Sanzone
------------------------------
Hi,

We are facing a issue when launching URL with chrome. Its launching a blank page lot of times and sometimes loads expected webpage as well. When tried manually it launches webpage correctly each time. We are using command line argument [url] & " --force-renderer-accessibility --start-maximized" when launching chrome.

Is there any other argument that can make it more stable.

Also if I want to start a fresh session with no cache or history (all cleared each time), which argument can we use for the same?

If after launching the website and blank page appears, is there a way to refresh the browser? I tried Global send keys - {F5} but that is not working, Also with chrome, Navigate stage doesn't have option to navigate to a different URL.

I am trying different options here so that in case of blank page launch, blue prism can try reloading.

------------------------------
Mayank Goyal
------------------------------
Hi Mayank,

I can see many questions. So, I put my feedback to each question.

1. Launching a blank page lot of times
Chrome should be opened via scheduler/control room if it was opened in debugging mode. You may refresh the page if there is no elements in the page (Blank Page).

2. Is there any other argument that can make it more stable?
I don't know any startup argument may stable the chrome. But you can find many argument from web site e.g., https://peter.sh/experiments/chromium-command-line-switches/

3. Also if I want to start a fresh session with no cache or history
[Ctrl]+[Shift]+[DEL] is the shortcut key in Chrome to clear browsing data. You may clear those data using global send key. Or if Google provides a startup parameter to clear the data, it can be easier.

4. If after launching the website and blank page appears, is there a way to refresh the browser?
Yes, you can do that. I attached a sample object. Please have a look.

5. Navigate stage doesn't have option to navigate to a different URL.
You are right. Chrome extension doesn't support the action yet. There is alternative. Please check the article below.
https://portal.blueprism.com/customer-support/support-center#/path/Automation-Design/Application-Integration/Browser/1370760452/How-do-I-navigate-to-a-new-URL-on-my-browser.htm

Cheers,

Nobu

------------------------------
Nobuhiro Tokushige
Product Specialist
Blue Prism
Australia/Sydney
------------------------------
Hi Mayank,

Chrome Incognito mode does exactly what you want. Append '--incognito' to chrome.exe when you launch Chrome.

------------------------------
Bruce Liu
Senior Product Consultant, Professional Services
Blue Prism
Australia/Sydney
------------------------------
