topic Error locking parent model: Empty process ID supplied to LockProcess in Product Forum

I am getting this error when trying to open a shared application modeller - no other objects are open. When I click Ok the app modeller opens and is connected to the target system, highlighting and identifying works fine but check exists keeps failing.

I have looked on the forum and Knowledge Base but have been unable to find any details as to what this error is or how to resolve it.

Why are you using a Shared Application Model??? That feature only exists for a very limited number of use cases - like a specific mainframe application where you can only be connected with one object. For all other applications where it is possible to attach multiple times you should have an application model for each object.

It is a mainframe application. Also the BP documentation recommends shared app modellers
