Region mode in virtual environment

Hi all,

is it possible to execute a region-spied process when a virtual machine is running in the background/not active (on control room)

Are you getting any errors when you attempt to execute a process from Control Room ?

If so, please share the error ?

Hi Izak,

The process fails to identify an element spied using region mode then bubbles up to global recovery, before termination.

when we are 'manually" logged on to the screen, it works.

There are a couple of considerations to take into account when using surface automation techniques.

1. Resolution of the host machine versus the resolution on the remote machine.

2. Windows font smoothing.

3. Wait stages to cater for remote machine to respond.

Any of these aspects could solve your problem.
Please check the version you are running.
If it is not possible to upgrade, increase the wait stages, as Blue Prism sees applications as images when using surface automation and there might be a delay.
And check that resolution and font setting correspond between the host machine and the remote machine.
