Create Instance Excel VBO action slow

Hi Community - we have seven runtime resources performing a number of various processes. On one specific runtime resource the 'Create Instance' action in the Excel VBO has become very slow, taking 40 seconds to perform. All other Excel VBO actions perform normally.

The same action, albeit in different processes, is used on other runtime resources and does not exhibit this latency.

Any ideas on how to diagnose and fix this issue?

Whether it matters, I have noticed that the processes used on this runtime resource did not use the 'Close Instance' action after the excel work was complete, which I have now added. The runtime resource is reset every morning.

Hi Anthony,

This issue could be closely associated with the target application or the hosting operating system.
As for troubleshooting steps, please check the following options.

Disabling Cortona (applicable with the Windows 10 based Runtime Resources only)
Disabling hardware graphics acceleration within the Excel application settings
Reinstalling the MS Office
