surface automation PDF

I am trying to read the coordinates on the selected text as a result of "search" on PDF. Plan is to use those coordinates to "Read Image" for the region using dynamic values for start x, start y etc. Is there a way to get those coordinates of the region?

That'll be tough, why don't you copy all the text of pdf (ctrl a + ctrl c) into a dataitem and use string operation on it to get desired text.

thanks for your reply..
I want to check if the selected text is "red" colored so we can create a link to it. If it is not of that color I would want to skip any processing.
So basically I was thinking of creating a "dynamic" region that can be created once I have the coordinates of the selected text. Is there a way to get those coordinates?

Once I know the coordinates on the screen I can then try to read the text on that region.. Hope it makes sense. Any other suggestions you may have let me know..
