Proxy Authentication

Hey,

Looking to call ServiceNow APIs from Blue Prism. Calling these from Blue Prism resulted in the following:
HTTP Error Code 407 means "Proxy Authentication Required"

Blue Prism Support suggested that this error indicates that the client must first authenticate itself with the proxy.

After checking this with our networking team, they said that we can use NTLM authentication for this.

Out of the box, Blue Prism does not support this method.

Does anyone know how NTLM Authentication can be implemented within Blue Prism.

Hi Shane,

I assume you're using the ServiceNow connectors from the Digital Exchange? If so, those are all implemented using the Web API feature of Blue Prism which does not support proxy authentication or NTLM at this time unfortunately. As an alternative, you could use the Utility - HTTP VBO that ships with BP (and is also available on the DX) to implement your calls to ServiceNow. You could actually look at the definition of the existing connectors within System -> Objects -> Web API Services to get the information about URL path, payload, etc.
