Reporting Capabilites

Hello, I wanted to see if anyone could point me towards the documentation that is referenced in the System - Reporting tab of Blue Prism: "Use external tools to refresh statistics (please refer to the documentation). I'm trying to see if there is a way for our organization to set up an external reporting tool in stead of the blue prism dashboard, so that we don't have to install blue prism on every functional users computer who wants to monitor their automations. There was one thread that talked about creating a SISS package to copy the log items and then reporting off of that database, but I'd rather not have committed down time in our environment for the SISS package to run. Would love to hear your thoughts and what your organizations are doing. Thanks!

I think you should discuss your reporting requirements with whatever Blue Prism consultancy you have access to. To display dashboard type of data outside of the Blue Prism product you have two options. 1. The Blue Prism dashboards are just databse views - which should be usuable in any reporting tool you have in your organisation to extract data. The other most commen way of reporting data is for process soltuions to write MI out to bespoke reporting tables created by your Blue Prism team.

Hi Magdalena,

Once you are in the reporting section of the system, you may use the in-built help menu to bring up related topics. It can be done by clicking on the ? button at the top right corner of the screen. For later version of Blue Prism, you can find online help that gives you the info. For example, you can find the related help file section for v6.7 in the link below:

What i can suggest here is creating a replica of the original database and connecting that with Power BI dashboards .

The Work Queue and session tables should be of much help for reporting requirements .
