    <description>I remember 2 years ago when first got this issue. Solved back then because I was working with IT guys... It's incredible that It stills happens for a simple learning software. It should not be so technical in my opinion.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The error that I get after creating user and password with admin as user is the same as the others:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;BluePrism.AutomateAppCore.LocalDatabaseInstaller.get_a()&lt;BR /&gt;em BluePrism.AutomateAppCore.LocalDatabaseInstaller.get_DatabaseExists()&lt;BR /&gt;em BluePrism.AutomateAppCore.LocalDatabaseInstaller.FullInstall(String username, SafeString password)&lt;BR /&gt;em AutomateUI.WelcomeWizard.j(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So in order to solve this we need to install &lt;SPAN&gt;SQLMS and do the steps that Nuno suggested.       <description>Hello all,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have that issue when configured my first local and made something different and I will share with you:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Open SQLMS like administrator and go to the instance what you want to create database;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Go to Database on navigation tree and create a DB with same name as you want to create on BluePrism installation;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;after DB created, go to Security on Navigation Tree and on username that will work with BluePrism, make that DB as DefaultDB for&amp;nbsp;user;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;After attributed dB to the user, open BluePrism installation and now you can create DB with drop existing other.&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Rationale for asking:&lt;/STRONG&gt; This error has been reported a few times and up to now we've been unable to replicate to prevent it happening.&amp;nbsp; It seems to occur when someone setups up Blue Prism Trial or Learning Edition, then removes some of it and attempts to install it again.&amp;nbsp; The reason for my question is to understand whether you have received the error is a similar way to other people or there is something else causing the issue.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;To resolve the issue, the following steps seems to have resolved for other people:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;To completely remove Blue Prism from your system:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;As its previously worked, I suspect when you clear down and reinstall, everything should work again.&amp;nbsp; I suspect that&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Microsoft SQL Server 2017 LocalDB&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;thinks the Blue Prism instance and database is still there, but you have removed them from the file system.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It would be good for the community if you let us know how you get on.&amp;nbsp; This will help the next person who sees this error.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;It doesn't sound like the you have completely stripped Blue Prism and supported database from your computer.&amp;nbsp; If you had, you would have been presented with the option to enter a password for your Blue Prism &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;admin&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; user account.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We do not prompt for the creation of a admin password, of there is already a database in place.&amp;nbsp; So, I suspect you'd see the steps to strip back the database files too. (See Page 6 of the guide)&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I'll repeat the advice earlier for you to double check:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;To completely remove Blue Prism from your system:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;

      <description>I am also experiencing this error on my first attempt to install Learning Edition, and again on my 2nd attempt after following the uninstall steps described above, from the Getting Started Guide - Blue Prism Trial and Learning Edition. I assume the complete uninstall was successful because I did get the first-time login screen with the option to enter a password for the Blue Prism admin user account. I am not able to follow steps provided by Nuno above because I am not a technical user. I am lost at the first step regarding SQLMS.. don't know what that is, whether it's on my laptop, nor do I know how to administer databases using that tool.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for any assistance,&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;James&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'm running 64-bit Win 10 on a Lenovo T470s.       <description>Even though I tried re-downloading the install file several times, for some reason when I re-downloaded the install file today, I was able to successfully install the Learning Edition and activate the license.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regarding the uninstall instructions in the Getting Started Guide, I was not able to "run the following commands to stop and remove the local database instance" because I don't have any sub-directory "sqllocaldb" under the Binn directory.&amp;nbsp; Even after successful install, I don't have the sqllocaldb folder, I just see sqllocaldb.exe. See inserted image of my folders. I only have a Resource sub folder and sqllocaldb.exe.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I could not do these two uninstall steps from the Getting Started guide:&lt;BR /&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Thank you for sharing, it's good to hear you're up and running.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;On the face of it, it's extremely unlikely that re-download would have been the resolution. &amp;nbsp;If we'd have had a bad download, which is always possible, then the whole file would have been corrupted and we wouldn't have been able to run it.&amp;nbsp; However, maybe downloading to a different location may have given slightly different permissions / behaviour.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;LI&gt;My first thought was, &lt;EM&gt;"Yes, you're right. Why we've done that and how's it been like that for a year without anyone noticing?"&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;But, the 2 lines are intended to be ran (copied or retyped) into the Windows Command Line / Prompt.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;I knew you were right with the SqlLocalDB.exe file being in the Binn directory.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;So, I double checked, and the way Windows Command Prompt works is it knew that last part of the path was the executable (.exe application). I've included a screenshot below, we could also put the .exe into the path too.

&lt;LI&gt;Really appreciate the feedback there, I'll mention to our Technical Author team who do a great job in providing content and see if we should change it to include the .exe in the path.&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I had BluePrism installed, this error appeared so I uninstalled it following the guide, everything moved ok while uninstalling but once I installed it again the same error appeared.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>I solved the issue myself.&lt;BR /&gt;The local db was not creating so had to go with:&lt;BR /&gt;C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\140\Tools\Binn\sqllocaldb create blueprismlocaldb&lt;BR /&gt;and then&lt;BR /&gt;C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\140\Tools\Binn\sqllocaldb start blueprismlocaldb&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The issue I have now is before opening the program I have to go to the CMD and start the blueprismlocaldb with the last commend above. Cannot find how to leave it fix to be kept running while the computer is on, and to start everytime I turn on the PC. I am facing the same issue (highlighted in 1st message by Suresh).&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;The Learning edition was working fine, until my Operating system is upgraded from Win10 (Home) to Windows 11 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 22000). Is it compatible with Windows 11? I tried re-installing as per the instructions provided in uninstalling manual.       <description>I remember 2 years ago when first got this issue. Solved back then because I was working with IT guys... It's incredible that It stills happens for a simple learning software. It should not be so technical in my opinion.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The error that I get after creating user and password with admin as user is the same as the others:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;BluePrism.AutomateAppCore.LocalDatabaseInstaller.get_a()&lt;BR /&gt;em BluePrism.AutomateAppCore.LocalDatabaseInstaller.get_DatabaseExists()&lt;BR /&gt;em BluePrism.AutomateAppCore.LocalDatabaseInstaller.FullInstall(String username, SafeString password)&lt;BR /&gt;em AutomateUI.WelcomeWizard.j(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So in order to solve this we need to install &lt;SPAN&gt;SQLMS and do the steps that Nuno suggested.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi everyone,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I recently encountered the same issue and I figured that the reason for this issue is that my antivirus software interrupted BluePrism and added it to quarantine as it considered it malware&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This led to the corruption of the SQL LocalDB database (BluePrismLocalDb) during creation.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Here’s the step-by-step process I followed to resolve it:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the following commands dont work for you try to open Command Prompt (CMD) as an Administrator&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) Navigate to the path where SqlLocalDB.exe is located.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In my case, the command was:&lt;BR /&gt;cd "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\140\Tools\Binn"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2) Get Information About LocalDB Instances:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Run the following command to list all LocalDB instances:&lt;BR /&gt;SqlLocalDB.exe info&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Identify the corrupted database instance from the list and make sure that BluePrismLocalDb is listed&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3) Delete the Corrupted LocalDB Instance:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;.\SqlLocalDB.exe delete BluePrismLocalDb&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4) Exclude BluePrism from Antivirus Scans:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Before running BluePrism again, ensure you exclude the BluePrism application from your antivirus software to prevent future corruption.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This approach resolved the issue for me, and I hope it helps others facing the same problem.
