As region mode is based on images, the 'design time' and 'run time' machines need to be visually identical (same screen resolution, same application versions etc), otherwise the images taken at run time won't match the model created during development. So check the set up of the machines first.

Also check how you access the VDIs. RDP is not an ideal tool because it's 'invasive' and once disconnected the VDI desktop is unavailable to the process.

------------------------------
John Carter
Professional Services
Blue Prism
------------------------------
Hi,

Really Urgent answer needed here:

We have developed a code for citrix application using region mode we are spying elements which is working fine in development environment. But when the same code is run on other vdi or system it doesn't work it is unable to spy the same region and a error msg occurs unable to find the query item. The issue is it cant find the query item, it is unable to get the same region in new system. Can anyone answer this? Urgently needed!

------------------------------
Smith Jones
------------------------------
We have used coordinates for spying.

If we open the application, some fields have default values that will be there and if the value is changed image cannot identify that. So we have used coordinates.

------------------------------
Smith Jones
------------------------------
Hi,

Please make sure that the screen resolution is same in the runtime resource and then only the coordinate approach will work.

Thanks,
Ritansh

------------------------------
Ritansh Jatwani
Consultant
EY
Asia/Kolkata
------------------------------
Hi,

Even after having same resolution in both vdi the code is not executed.
Is this something that happens all the time, or just sometimes? Does it work from the Process studio as opposed to the Control Room? If it is something that happens sometimes, it may be related to whether someone is remotely logged in to the VDI.

------------------------------
James Man
Professional Services
Blue Prism
Asia/Hong_Kong
------------------------------
