Outlook VBO - exception thrown by code stage: Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040401

Can anybody advise what causes occasional error 'exception thrown by code stage: Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040401' when calling Outlook VBO action 'Get Sent Items (Advanced)' using a subject line filter query.

Can't seem to find any other post /thread for this error code.

HRESULT is a computer programming data type that represents the completion status of a function. Expecially, it is used in the source code of applications targeting Microsoft Windows and earlier IBM/Microsoft OS/2 operating systems. That means the problem comes from MS Outlook rather than Blue Prism.

Hello @Derek Teague,

HRESULT 0x80040401 appears to be a MAPI_Timeout error. In other words, the VBO is trying to access the message store and for some reason it's being delayed and the request times out.

When this occurs, does the particular mailbox have a lot of mail in it?
