Issues with send ESC in IBM Personal Communication/Mainframe

Hi,

I need to send ESC to IBM Personal Communication/Mainframe but can't get the Global Send Keys to work. I have tried [ESC], [escape], [esc] but nothing works. It works when I type it in manually and all the other global send keys works (like [ENTER], [PF4]. Any ideas on how I can try differently?

Hi Josefine,

If I remember correctly the mnemonic for Escape key in most of the emulators except Attachmate is '[attn]' which stands for Attention/Escape. Can you once try with that keyword and let us know if that works ?

I now also have to send ALT but [ALT] is not working, do you know if there is another key for that too? I also tried % but did not work.

Hey Josefine,

I am not aware of just sending out the alt key though but if I remember in mainframes usually we send a combination of some other key with a Alt key for various functionality. Can you tell me do just want to send the alt key or any combination of some key along with it. I will be looking for the solution till then for this though.

Also, while trying % key did you first activated the window, focused the element and then used the send global keys action with the root node of your application tree?
