If you use 'Open Workbook', it is opening the workbook. It's just invisible. The way I pretty much always do it is in this order:
Create Instance
Open Workbook
Get Collection
Close Instance
You do not need to specifically close the workbook since Close Instance will take care of that for you.

Hey team, thanking you guys in advance for your help! I want to extract a cell value from an excel workbook without having to open it, so I am using the "Open Workbook" action in the excel vbo. That does the trick but then my question is, do I have to use the "Close Workbook" action?

Thank you!
