    <description>My first thought is that there is a typo in the path variable.
I have found the built-in OCR to be not that consistent yet. I am using Nuance PDF to read my PDFs and it is doing a much better job. If you have access to Nuance, you might want to try that. You can open the PDF and write straight to a Word or Excel document. From there, your job is easier.
Hope that helps.

      <title>Cannot read text with OCR - surface automation</title>
      <link>https://community.blueprism.com/t5/Product-Forum/Cannot-read-text-with-OCR-surface-automation/m-p/86373#M37236</link>
      <description>Hi,

&amp;nbsp;

I'm currently trying to read a PDF with surface automation. I've spyed the document window, defined the region where the text will and assigned a font for the text.

When I use the "Read text with OCR" on the read stage, I get the following error :

Internal : Failed to perform step 1 in Read Stage 'Reader1' on page 'Read PDF Content' - The system cannot find the file specified.

&amp;nbsp;

The version used is BP 5. Has anyone encoutered this issue before?

&amp;nbsp;

Thanks,
