Hi Denis,
Didn't see your reply until now.
The client I am working with has its dev and production environment located in Japan, and the client is thinking about creating a federated dev team in China using the same environments. Changing the local system language is the workaround we are thinking about applying. However there are a couple of challenges we have to deal with.
1) All the VMs environments are standardised and controlled by the IT department. Any application for changes to the default settings are subject to examination. (whether changing it will have negative impact on other systems in scope)
2) Changing system locale language will change the default language setting of some of the systems our clients use. If the designer/developers are not aware, objects developed on the changed machine will not work in UAT/production. While this challenge can be handled, this workaround taxes on the lead time with development and test.
If there can be a option in Systems - General that allow BP user to change languages (the same way with launch or not launching resource pc), it would be much easier for clients with global footprint to implement BP in various geos.

UI Language Selection

For the latest version 6, the Japanese UI has been released. However, the language used seems to hinge on the interactive client's local system language. It would be great if user can select which language to display in the system settings. Some of our members can not read Japanese and would develop much faster with English UI. Any thoughts on when this setting can be realized?

Can't your individual members simply set their local system language to whatever they prefer (English or Japanese)? The product and other applications would then use the language they prefer.
