topic Blue Prism License Usage in Product Forum

Hi,

Can we use the same license in multiple environments? we have purchased a license for 5 concurrent session. and our company is planning to have 1 server per division (1 for Finance, 1 for HR\General usage). the question is can we use the same license on both environments?

also we are trying do setup an architecture that enables us to run a Process on demand. (this processes will not depend schedule). is there a way where we can trigger the process on the server?

for example:

Processor wants to run a specific process ASAP. can he/she use a trigger to command BP to run the process from his/her computer on the server?

or do we need to install BP on the processors computer and he/she should connect to the server and run it via control room? (if this is the case, do we need to use a different license for the processors Computer?)

Thank you!

As per my understanding, you only need to purchase license for production, you can easily use it on development. So yes, you can use same license in multiple environments.
If you want to run process on demand, you can trigger them from command prompt, or u can also call the process from web services. In every case , you need to install BP on the remote server where ur process will be triggered.
Please suggest if this helps.

Hi Narayanshrawagi,

thank you for your reply!
Do we have any guide on how we can run process from the command prompt and web services?
Also do we need to install BP on the Processors Computer (using the prod license) to enable the command prompt/web service function?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Kibin,
Just press F1 once u login to blueprism and help file will open. You can search for command prompt in that and all relevent topics will come.
This is the command you can use for running a process."".\AutomateC.exe /user /run ""process name"" Put this command in batch file and give the file path in utility - env start a process action in 'Application"" Parameter and it will silently execute the process

Hi,
You can only use ONE License In ONE Production Environment, if you install that in more than one Prod environment that means you have 10 concurrent users and Blue Prism would most likely want you to pay for the other 5 you have just installed!!
As mentioned above they are fine if you stand up multiple DEV/UAT Environments.
Hope this clarifys

If my Licene(.lic file which we upload in system tab of BP) support 10 concurrent process then it means that we can run 10 Processes/Bot at same time via Schedular in production environment .
Is this the correct understanding?
