Citrix Integration Queries

Hi Team,

We are exploring Citrix Integration with Blue Prism 7.2.1. There are a few queries that I have regarding the same:

Is there a direct command/package that BP can provide, for silent installation of the Citrix Agent on the Citrix VDE to the Citrix Team?
As per the BP documentation on the Citrix Integration:Does this mean that Multi-BOT scenarios will not work in case of Citrix Integration?

Hi Manish,

I can confirm our documentation team is working on updating the Silent Install docs to include the commands for installation of the optional Citrix components as part of the Blue Prism install process. These docs should be updated and confirmed soon. You should be able to install them individually using the ADDLOCAL keyword (see linked doc above for examples), followed by the product names, so 'CitrixAgent' for desktops and 'CitrixDriver' to install the driver with Blue Prism. However, while possible to silently install Citrix Agent and Citrix Automation components with BP, the latter requires the former to be installed first, and both require a Citrix app (Citrix Workspace) to be present beforehand or the install will fail.

You are correct about multi-bot scenarios not being inherent due to the way the Citrix components work with Blue Prism -- for example consider that Blue Prism's Citrix Agent component is required to be installed first after logging into the Citrix VDE and being installed there, and this step must be carried out for each user that will be used by the runtime resource to access the Citrix VDE. Then, the Blue Prism Citrix Automation ('CitrixDriver') component can be installed on all the interactive clients used to build processes and on all the runtime resources used to run the processes. However, if you have not first installed the Citrix Workspace application on the local machines the Citrix Automation option will not be available to install.

Thanks for the information that was helpful.

Just have a follow-up query regarding MultiBOT considering all the installation and setup has been completed, will 2 BOTs be able to run the same citrix automated process for the same application at the same time or not? Provided they are created as separated users and have separate machines on which the automation is running.
