I'm having a similar problem to yours and I think the solution is to use 'Surface Automation' to send keystrokes.
So if you are trained in Blue Prism's Surface Automation then your good to go, otherwise talk to them about Surface Automation.
I hope this helped.

How to send keystrokes in Navigation stage?

Navigation stage documentation states that is is possible to send keystrokes.
I need this in an HTML input field, after the inserted text I need to hit Enter.

The Navigate stage Action dropdown does not offer me that choice.
What to do?

(The field was filled using a Write stage, and appending &NewLine() there does not help either)

Use a navigation stage.
Use the topmost element from the application explorer panel.
Choose action Global Send Key Events
The Text input value should be ""{ENTER}"" with the speechmarks("").
I believe this should work even if you spied the element as HTML.
