Yes you are right , As per Blue Prism Architecture All bots(Run time Resources) and development machines(interactive clients) are connected via application Server

Typical installation will have
1) 1- Machine for Blue Prism Database (Microsoft Sql server)
2) 1- Machine for Blue Prism Application Server (Connects to BP Database)
3) 1 or Many Development Machines(Interactive Client in BP terminology) connected Prism to Blue Application Server
4) 1 or Many Bots (Runtime resources in BP terminology) connected to Blue Prism Application Server

So everything is gets stored in Blue Prism Database (process, objects , users, environment variables etc) and Application server is main component through which bots/developer machine talk to BP database

Below is architect diagram
Hi,

Pardon me if this is a simple question; as I have tried to search online, but there is not much information on this. Would like to verify if my understanding is correct.

I would like to understand if bots are created on a particular PC ( call it PC A), how can another person run the same bots on another PC ( call it PC B)? Do I have to set up Interactive client, application server, DB Server on PC A first? Then connect to the same application server via interactive client on PC B to access the bots created on PC A?

Appreciate any kind advice on this. Thank you in advance!

------------------------------
Jia Min Toh
------------------------------
Hi Jia Min,

Yes I think you are in the right direction to understand it. There are documentation available on how the Enterprise setup is done. You can refer here https://portal.blueprism.com/system/files/documents/v6%20User%20Guide%20-%20Installing%20Enterprise%20Edition_1_1.pdf

------------------------------
Shashank Kumar
DX Integrations Partner Consultant
Blue Prism
Singapore
+6581326707
------------------------------
Hi Jia please take a look at these documents for an overview of a BP environment. Think of all the IC and bot machines as satellites connected to the same app server at the centre. So the first machine to set up is the app server, then the database connection, then the satellites.

https://portal.blueprism.com/system/files/documents/v6.7%20Data%20Sheet%20-%20Infrastructure%20Introduction.pdf
https://portal.blueprism.com/system/files/documents/v6.7%20Data%20Sheet%20-%20Infrastructure%20Overview%20Enterprise%20Edition.pdf

------------------------------
John Carter
Professional Services
Blue Prism
------------------------------
