Invoke automation using API

Hi,

We have a requirenment where we would like to invike automation using some REST API basically we wanted to integrate DevOps tools with BluePrism and after application is built and deployed we would like to Invoke Aumation from CDD (Continious Delivery Director) which is basically CI/CD tool and can use REST API.

What version of Blue Prism are you using? If you are on something earlier than v7 there is no supported REST API available with BP. v7 is the first version of Blue Prism that introduced a public REST API. With earlier versions you could could use SOAP though.

Hi Mayank,

If you are using version of Blue Prism before 7.0, you can probably use SOAP request to trigger your process via API. I have a sample use case on a chatbot integration on my YouTube channel where I have showcased step by step how you can make an API call to trigger a simple process from a Flask server it will give you some idea: Google Dialog Flow Chatbot Integration With Blue Prism
