    <description>so I'm upgrading 4.6 to 4.7 hub and as per 4.7 we need to use ssl certs for the sql connection. while looking at the prerequisites it mentions:
&lt;P&gt;"SQL Server must be configured to use SSL encryption." &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This implies that encryption is required.&lt;BR /&gt;I need to know if the &lt;STRONG&gt;SQL Server&lt;/STRONG&gt; must force encryption (which is a separate SQL Server configuration), or if the &lt;STRONG&gt;driver / interface library&lt;/STRONG&gt; will request encryption from the SQL Server.&lt;BR /&gt;if its the driver that's requesting the encryption can anyone confirm which driver Hub uses?&amp;nbsp; I believe hub uses DotNet&amp;nbsp; via&amp;nbsp; Microsoft.Data.SqlClient and version 4.1.0.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Philip,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I understand you have a Support ticket open with this inquiry, but posting the answer here for searchability and visibility.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;While Hub 4.7 requires a certificate for SQL Server, it is not a requirement to force encryption. &lt;BR /&gt;You can set this in the SQL Server Config Manager like so:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper" image-alt="35301.png"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.blueprism.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/35365i226EE4DAE7A3BFE5/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="35301.png" alt="35301.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;</description>
