HCL Notes 12 (64 bits)

HI,

I'm trying to automate this client but i'm unable to spy anything inside the main window. Only the top menu are accessible.

Is there anyone to have any experience in this?

Hi Philippe,

We used to offer a VBO for IBM's Lotus Notes v9, but we don't have anything ready-made (like a VBO or DX Asset) for HCL Notes 12.

To spy this application, you will likely need to employ Java Automation techniques (Application Modeler > Spy Mode > Java Mode) as Notes tends to utilize Java.

In general, you could try to use different spy modes (Win32, AA, UIA, Java) or combinations for other parts of the Notes application.
It depends on the element; some of the elements may be not spy able by the above-mentioned spy modes; in that situation, you can use Surface Automation which is used by some of our partners and customers, and it has worked successfully.
