Hi @vinod chinthakindi,

The license choice is up to you. The MIT license is a completely open source license that places virtually no restrictions on the user of the asset. In other words they can change it as they see fit. That's the license we most commonly use for assets we publish on the DX. The GNU license is a little bit more restrictive in what it requires of the user related to publishing the source of their own application if they make it available for others. It's what's referred to as a "copyleft" license.

Ultimately, if your company has a Legal team you should consult with them first. If you just want to place your asset on the DX for anyone to use and do with as they see fit then the MIT license is a good option.

Cheers,

Hi,

We have created an Asset consisting of Utility methods for files and We want to upload it to on DX. I was little bit confused after seeing different licenses. How can we decide which license we can choose out of MIT license and GNU license.

And how can we get license from Creative Commons. Is it mandatory to upload an Asset.

Documentation, descriptions and screenshots are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC-BY-SA) 3.0 license

Can some one share any details how to use/get Creative Commons license and which one to choose from MIT and GNU licenses.

Thanks in advance.
