When tired to debug the error,this error comes from a business object which uses a navigate stage which has an element say "X" in it which uses the action "Select item" from the drop-down available. Does this mean that the application modeller for that particular element "X" is changed? Please let me know. Just spy the specific element once again when you get an error. Comparing this with the older value spied, you can check which value is getting changed. Just make that value dynamic and try again.
