Internal: Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow

Hi,

I am using OpenJDK version 8 in 6.10 blueprism for automating java-based application. Using java spying mode I have selected one table. The table element is getting highlighted but when trying to fetch the table data using get all items, I am getting following exception Internal: Failed to perform step 1 in Read Stage 'Get Table to Collection' on page 'Get Table' - Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow. In application wizard "ignorenotshowing" is selected. Can someone help me with how I can fetch table data using open JDK version 8.

Hi Neha,

This issue has been fixed in V6.10.5:

This has been taken from the Fixes and Minor Improvements section of the version release notes.

If an upgrade is not currently an option, you may have to look to use Surface Automation to read the table.

@amit_1996 The Reference ID for this issue is BP-3786, which you can see in the Known Issues list for 7.1 here (https://support.blueprism.com/en/support/solutions/articles/7000077677-known-issues-in-blue-prism-version-7-1-releases). This issue was fixed in several minor versions of Blue Prism (6.10.5, 7.0.2, and 7.1.2). Since you're on 7.1.1, you would need to upgrade to 7.1.2 or higher. The 7.1.2 release notes also specifically call out this BP-3786 issue here (https://docs.blueprism.com/bundle/blue-prism-enterprise-7-2/page/release-notes/rn-7-1-2.htm).

@david.l.morris Just having a thought like if we use 32bit JAVA application then this issue can be avoided, right ?

@amit_1996 Yes, that looks to be correct, according to this: https://support.blueprism.com/en/support/solutions/articles/7000079549.

The Issue box indicates 32 bit is unaffected. There are also a couple of other workarounds mentioned, such as using select all and copy, extracting each cell of data individually, and surface automation (which of course was mentioned early in this thread).
