Thanks for checking it's not just AutomateS.

I'd suggest opening a Support ticket to report this to our Product team as a UI/UX issue. This may already be under investigation internally, but if not, flagging this for them to look into would be helpful to address it in future releases.

Hi Team,

I have Blue Prism pinned to my taskbar, but when I open it, it opens a new tab instead of using the pinned one.

I've noticed this issue for the last two versions. I tried reinstalling and doing a fresh install, but the problem persists.

Is anyone else experiencing this? It looks awkward since it always shows two taskbar tabs for Blue Prism.

Like this as shown in image

Hi Tejas,

Check if the first pinned icon is pointing to 'AutomateS.exe' instead of 'Automate.exe' -- AutomateS is just the launch mechanism for the Blue Prism user interface, to which the Blue Prism installer creates a shortcut in your Start menu and desktop. AutomateS just displays a splash screen while Automate.exe compiles, then AutomateS is closed once Automate.exe (Blue Prism user interface) is displayed on screen.

I removed the icon from the taskbar several times and then re-pinned it by opening BP through the Windows search bar.

To test your suggestion, I opened AutomateS.exe and Automate.exe, but both open a new tab on the taskbar, even though BP is already pinned.

See path below in the snapshot,
