Upgrade from v6.9.1 to v7.4.1

I am planning to upgrade from Blue Prism v6.9.1 to v7.4 I am wondering what is the best course of action.

I am considering setting up a new 7.4 environment with a new database and programserver parallel to my existing 6.9.1 environment. Then import all processes and objects from the old 6.9.1 environment.

Or should I upgrade my existing 6.9.1 to 7.4 environment?

Also, We are in mid of upgrade to 7.3.1. We have gone ahead with new DB and parallel environment approach.
