Hi Suraj,

In addition, first, please follow the instructions to check whether Java Access Bridge (JAB) is enabled.
https://docs.blueprism.com/en-US/bundle/blue-prism-enterprise-6-10/page/Guides/java-access-bridge/java-access-bridge-jab.htm

If JAB is not present or not embedded with the JRE Java version 7u75 (7.75), you can manually install it using your existing JAB installer:
Java Access Bridge Version: 2.0.4.0
For installation instructions, please refer to the official Oracle documentation:
https://docs.oracle.com/javase/accessbridge/2.0.2/setup.htm

I recommend using both x32 and x64 versions of the JRE, as some Oracle-based applications may still rely on the x32 driver, even if you have multiple JRE versions installed on your system.
Having multiple JRE versions (x32 and x64) installed does not cause conflicts.

Regards
H Azimi
CGS-APJ

Hi all,

I'm encountering an issue while trying to spy elements in an Oracle application using Java Spy mode in Blue Prism.

I'm not able to spy one specific Oracle application. The application is launched by pushing a link to the Edge browser and opens it.

Here are the application details:

Oracle Client Version: 11.2.0

Java Access Bridge Version: 2.0.4.0

Blue Prism Version: 7.3.0

The client has informed us that the Oracle application requires Java version 7u75 (7.75v), and unfortunately, they are unable to upgrade to a newer version.

Has anyone faced a similar issue or found a workaround to get Java Spy mode working with this setup?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

-------------------------------------
Suraj
-------------------------------------

Hi Suraj,

From Blue Prism Enterprise v7.2 onward (as of the time of this writing), Java 8 is the only version supported for Java Spy Mode via the Java Access Bridge (source). Unfortunately if this application requires Java 7, you may need to look into alternative methods for spying/automating it rather than Java Mode.

However if you can provide some specifics about this application and details about its function, perhaps other Blue Prism developers may have some experience with automating it they could share here.
