topic Chrome Extension 7.4.1 in Product Forum

Hello All,

We recently upgraded our system from Blue Prism version 6.10.5 to 7.4.1 and have encountered a few challenges—one of which involves the Chrome extension.

Due to our IT policies, we install the extension offline by downloading it, packaging it into a ZIP file, and adding it as an unpacked extension. We've followed this approach across the last two Blue Prism versions without any issues.

However, since upgrading to 7.4.1, we’ve noticed that after every VM refresh or reboot, running a process—whether in debug mode or from the Control Room—results in a failure to connect with the browser. The Chrome extension shows a status of Service Worker (Inactive), and Blue Prism is unable to establish a connection.

Interestingly, if we manually open Chrome, click on the extension, and then click on the Service Worker (Inactive) status, it changes to Service Worker (Active). After this manual step, the process runs smoothly without any issues.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior with Blue Prism 7.4.1? Any suggestions or workarounds to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
