UIA Element not highlighting

Hi,

I've spied a browser element using UIA mode using edge browser. When bot is running Blueprism fails to highlight the element and strange thing I noticed is if i add one new element in application modeller and spy the same icon by selecting same attribute, it works fine and even the previously failed element also highlights fine, but only when i add a new element. Attached image has the attribute selected details.

I've tried wait time upto 10 Minutes too, it's not about the delay neither element attribute getting changed. It's very weird. How do i fix it?

did you checked in debug mode in bot machine ? and also can you please share the application modeller attributes screenshot as Faheem mentioned.

Yes in debug mode as mentioned it fails to highlight, only when i add one more element with the same set of attributes it starts working fine again.

i will suggest one thing here, for choose file button element will built very tricky in html code.

you can do one thing and try this , identify that button using Browser mode, using navigate stage focus on button and then use the send keys and press Enter button , it will click on that button.

i have seen this type of issue alot specially for choose file button on browser

Please try with Wildcard option for UIA Name instated of Equal

Choose* or Choose File*

Tried that but for some reason enter or click isn't doing anything and not throwing error also. It just goes to next stage without doing anything

i have done same thing and its working perfectly fine for me .. can you please share the screenshot of application modeller and the action stage ..

Which click action item are you using from Navigate Stage? Is it Click Center or Global Mouse Click Center?

I would request you to use Global Mouse Click Center.

Hi @Sushmitha.C

If it's only failing at run time is it possible the the UIA Name value is different? Another spy element you could try instead of UIA Name is UIA Class Name to see if that is more reliable.

We have seen reliability issues with UIA spy mode so naveed_raza's suggestion to try the web broweser mode might be a good one to consider with a focus before trying to click the button.
